Latest News & ReviewsRhiannon Lambert Top Class for Classic FM (April 24, 2007)TALENTED singer Rhiannon Lambert has won a national competition with Classic FM to find a singing star of the future. The 17-year-old, from Melksham, who is a student at George Ward School, will now perform in concert with professional singers Natasha Marsh and Alfie Boe in Westminster. The concert will be broadcast on the radio station from 7.30pm tomorrow evening. Rhiannon, who was a bridesmaid at a cousin's wedding at the weekend, said: "I just didn't expect at all to win this and it's all a bit overwhelming. All the other contestants have had much more formal training and practice than me, so it's amazing!" She added: "I would like to thank all my friends and my family but also all the people who voted for me online who I don't even know. All I hope now is that I will do them justice." A George Ward School spokesman said everyone was very proud of Rhiannon's achievements. Well done Rhiannon, all of us from Starry Eyes new you could do it and we are right behind you all the way.
