The 'M' Festival Final 2006 (August 29, 2006)The ‘M’ Festival Final Saturday 2nd August
People are pulling together to raise £25,000 to start the restoration of St. Mary’s Church in Market Lavington So far £10.000 for the project has been raised and as an attempt to boost the funds even further towards the target Rosetta Gutteridge and Sharon Smith have been busy organising a talent contest.
The Final of Contest known as the’ M’ Festival will be held this Saturday at the Old House Barn In Market Lavington. The panel of Judges will be Kevin Godley, Mike O Keefe, and Jonathan Shalit.
Kevin Godley is Godley and Crème, 10cc, also he is better known now as a video producer working with bands U2, Keane etc.
Mike 'O' Keefe is Europe’s Video Commissioner for Sony BMG (he works with Will Young, Sandy Thom, and Robbie etc.
Jonathan Shalit is a music agent for Jamelia and others, who also brought Charlotte church to fame!
Rosetta Gutteridge was founder of Joss Stone.
The youngest contestant to reach the final of ‘M’ Festival this year is 9 year old Lauren Medway from Southwick, who performed in the heats and impressed the judges with her outstanding vocals to win a place in the final.

Fun starts at 4pm gates open 3.30pm.
Tickets will be sold on the gate of The Old House Barn Market Lavington, £5.00 per adult, £2.00 and £1.00 infant.
