Singing on the Wharf (August 26, 2006)
The Wharf Day at Bradford-on Avon, was a fabulous day as the sun shone and glistened on the water.  People came along and enjoyed all the fun of the day helping to raise funds for the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust.

The Boats looked colourful,  people in fancy dress and the old boat peoples traditional dress.  There were boat trips up the canal completely free of charge and canoe trips for anyone brave enough to have ago, also completely free.

Starry Eyes Performers were in fine voice and sang out across the water pleasing the crowds.

The main Performers were:

Lauren Medway

There were all kinds of boats, a little steam boat called Twite, that was made years ago by it's owner, complete with it's great little whistle, won a prize for something.  It was just such a lovely day, so very different and some how very special by the water, seeing the work and passion that everyone puts into their boats, and the way the canal is being kept up together by the Trust, Just excellent.

All I can say is well done to everybody who took part in this remarkable event, it truly was quite a magical experience.
