WHARF DAY – Saturday 26th August
Once again Wharf Day is being organised by the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust (West Wiltshire Branch) and we are writing to let you know the programme for the day.
The Canal Trust will be organising many stalls, including hand-made jewellery, white elephant, cakes & preserves, books, and CDs.
As you know we are a charity and we would very much appreciate any contributions for us to sell (please bring to the Canal Cottage Tearooms shop on Saturday morning between 9.00 am and 10.00 am).
There will be face painting and a competition for children.
A boat parade of private boats will be held at 2.00 pm.
The Trip Boat – Barbara McLellan will be offering free boat trips to Bradford on Avon Marina and return, although we would gladly accept a donation for the Trust.
Entertainment will be by Starry Eyes, a local talent group.
Family Adventure Store will be demonstrating their canoes.
Our Tea Room will be open, as usual, from 10.30 am until 5.00 pm and throughout the Bank Holiday.
Stalls will be opened at 10.00 am. and events will cease at 17.00 pm
