RESIDENTS and staff at a care home in Trowbridge enjoyed a charity balloon launch on Thursday.
The event at Ravenscroft Care Home in Hilperton Road was raising m<=oney for the Awareness of Elderly Abuse charity. In total 130 balloons were sold, raising £182.
A few of the balloons travelled notable distances, with cards already received back from as far away as Oxford and Bedfordshire.
The major of Trowbridge, Cllr Tom James, attended the launch, along with many family members and friends of the residents also came to witness the balloons being let loose.
The care home is holding its summer fete at 2pm tomorrow.
