Latest News & ReviewsRest In Peace Mr. Fred Wedlock (March 05, 2010)Fred Wedlock who tragically died yesterday 4/3/2010 aged 67 years old. It has deeply saddened me to learn of the very sad news of Fred's passing. The world has lost a great entertainer, we'll never forget you.
Fred was a very dear friend with a heart of gold. I remember when he starred in and compered the Starry Eyes Show in Trowbridge for 2 years running and countless times for his dear friend David McCance at the Imperial Charity Shows and many, many others. Fred thought Starry Eyes was a wonderful organisation providing a platform for many up and coming young entertainers and he was always eager to help. My Starry Eyes co-director Val Priddey and I have worked along side Fred many times. He was particularly tickled by our duo name 'Hot Flush' I have sang with him and laughed with him and have been inspired by him. I will never forget how he came to Ravenscroft Care Home in Trowbridge to sing to a lovely couple who was celebrating 70 years of marriage, and how overjoyed they were about it. The residents at the home absolutely loved him. He had the knack of making everybody happy and feel special. The world today has lost a great entertainer but he has left behind a great legacy and he will never be forgotten. My thoughts go out to his lovely wife Sue and his family. May God be with you and help to ease your pain by filling your hearts with love and all the wonderful memories of being part of this great mans life. I was very privileged to have known you Fred.
God Bless. . Sally |
