The performance group Starry Eyes who are probably better known for some exquisite singers and talents shows are having ago at Pantomime this year. The Starry Eyes performers have all been busy learning their lines for their version of Aladdin. The main characters Aladdin and So-shi will played by Rachael Medway from Southwick and Chassidy Brown from Trowbridge. The Villainous character will be played by Svonne Dunk who is from Westbury and the Cranky Widow Twankey will be played by Carolynne Purnell who was once a councillor for Trowbridge Town Council and Twankey’s cranky son Wishee Washee will be played by Dawn Taylor from Melksham.
We have some wonderful characters played by our younger generation and children as well, such as; Ping and Pong, the policemen, the comical duo Cheap and Cheerful, and the princesses Desert Sunrise and Golden Mountain, The Genie will be played by Jonene Taylor and the Slave of the ring by Jade Lanfear.
Everyone has been so busy making things especially Sue Barnes who has been very busy making costumes and painting scenery. We even have a Pantomime Camel and of course this is a Starry Eyes production so you can expect lots of Music, singing and dances. “The whole thing has been a challenge for all of us and the team work has been amazing, it’s all very exciting, there is still so much to do” said Sally Boyle.
The whole evening is starting with a selection of Christmas songs performed by the Starry Eyes Cast and we have heard a whisper that Father Christmas will be visiting with gifts for all the children.
The Evening takes place on 13th December. At Bradford-On-Avon Sports and Social Club Trowbridge Road Bradford-On-Avon. Doors Open at 7pm – Show Starts at 7.30pm
Tickets are on Sale at Trowbridge Tourist Information Centre 01225 710535 and at The Avon Sports and Social Club 01225 866649 at £3 per adult and £1 for children, babies and toddlers go free.
All proceeds will be donated to The Avon Sports and Social Club as a Thank You for all their support, providing us with rehearsal space and the opportunity to put on this production for what we are truly grateful.
There is a licensed Bar and Live entertainment provided until midnight. This promises to be a great night out for all the family. There is only a limited number of tickets on sale due to the size of the venue so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment. |
