Latest News & ReviewsSutton Success (July 26, 2007)Last Saturday 21st July at The Sutton Benger Extravaganza, things got off to a late start due to the weather delaying setting up and rigging, but everyone agreed it was worth the wait. The entertainment supplied by all, The Starry Eyes singers group, Rhiannon Lambert, Amy Griggs, Nicola Chatfield, Christopher Tong, Lauren Medway and Ian Jones, rang out vocals that pleasantly surprised the locals and astounded the organisers, with the professionalism of their deliverance. The little Shooting Stars dance group had to forfeit their place on the big stage because the program was behind schedule and dance on a make shift stage on the ground at the front of the £15,000 stage. However, this not dampen their spirits nor affect their performance, they pleased the audience with their version of Michael Jackson’s 'Thriller' besides an attractive piece from 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' 'Doll On A Music Box' they opened the days performance with a dance from Chicago. In the evening the Orchestra played a selection of classical delights, but the weather unfortunately stopped the flyer over from the RAF, during the performance of The Dam Busters, although The cricket Club Ground where the concert took place actually stayed dry all day.
Trevor Knowlden who organised the event said he was delighted te way it all turned out so well, and that he was so happy with the Starry Eyes production that he said he wanted it quoted on the web site that Trevor Knowlden made a statement saying that he wants Starry Eyes to always be a part of the Sutton Benger Extravaganza. |
